Congresses

WOSC actively facilitates the organization of triennial congresses across diverse regions globally, aiming to enhance its local presence and foster collaboration among members of the systems and cybernetic communities. These congresses are orchestrated and overseen by local institutions, including universities, scientific organizations, and specialized institutions within specific countries. The responsibility for securing agreements with these local institutions for the execution and management of the congresses lies with the Management Committee.

Complexity, Organisation

WOSC actively encourages initiatives aimed at expanding the application of systems thinking and cybernetics in managing complexity within various types of organizations. Through the Norbert Wiener Institute, WOSC provides support for its members in publishing reports, projects, papers, and communications. These efforts are facilitated through WOSC's official journal, its website, and other networking tools. The Institute also lends its support to activities held at WOSC's congresses and other relevant educational, research, and development gatherings.

WOSC and Society

WOSC deems it legitimate to play a role in aligning policy processes at the local, regional, and global levels, aiming to amplify the impact of systems thinking and cybernetics for the benefit of society. However, WOSC strictly refrains from involvement in political campaigns or endorsing political parties or candidates for public office.
